Our Penya’s 5th Anniversary Celebration

On the early evening of Monday July 27, even though there was no Barça match, our Penya members filled Elephant and Castle.  Instead of cheering on Barça, we celebrated our Penya’s 5th anniversary.

In conjunction with FC Barcelona’s preseason tour that brought the team to Washington DC, FCB Vice President Jordi Cardoner, Board Member Silvio Elías, and Director of Institutional Relations and Protocol Ramon Puyol helped us celebrate the Penya’s anniversary.

To be honest, what our Penya members truly enjoyed — and that is an understatement — were three other very special guests of honor.  The Club’s representatives came to our Penya’s 5th anniversary celebration with the three trophies of the historic 2014-15 season.  For the entire party, our Penya members recognized what a rare and special opportunity we were given, and everyone enjoyed having as many pictures as possible with the triplet of trophies.

Winning the Treble was a tremendous historic accomplishment for FC Barcelona and the Club sharing the three trophies with our Penya for one evening was a historic, amazing, and memorable evening for Penya Barcelonista Washington DC.
